Tom has been a partner at Fusion for 25 years. With a background in technology and sales, he has led our Business Development and Operations teams to success across multiple markets and countless industries. And he says, “Faith, Family, and Football” are the things that keep him going.
Q: Fusion…how did it all begin?
A: We were ready for something different. When I partnered with Doug Brown, we made a commitment to create a place that provide quality service, value to our community, and a space where culture really mattered. Now, 25 years later, I get to come to work with the best people in the industry, not just professionally, but personally.
Q: How do you feel 25 years later?
A: For me, this story isn’t over yet. People often ask about retirement, but the final chapter hasn’t been written here. I truly enjoy coming to work with the people at Fusion and seeing how we can help our customers solve problems. In the last 25 years, those solutions have definitely changed. When we started Fusion, we were working with the invention of the internet and Cobol, and now we are seeing the impacts of machine learning and AI. Technology has evolved greatly, and so have we as an organization, and it is great to be a part of something like that.
Q: What do you do for fun outside of work?
A: Well, my time outside of work used to be filled with coaching football, but now I am focused on my two grandkids that definitely keep me busy…and steal all my snacks. And then there are the trips to Sullivans to support my grilling habit.
My weekends are mostly spent hanging out with my wife Sharon, fishing and relaxing at the lake. And when we’re home, hanging out with our puppies Lucy and Roscoe and cheering on the Colts.
